Jerame Hicks began his higher educational career during the summer of 1995 as an Indiana University-Bloomington Groups student. He graduated with a B.A. in Criminal Justice and African American Studies. Hicks continued his education and obtained Special Education teaching licensure and a Master’s Degree in Education from Indiana University-Northwest, P-12 Administrative Licensure from Indiana Wesleyan University and is currently in the Doctor of Philosophy with a Major in Organizational Leadership program at IWU. As the current Principal of Oliver P. Morton High School, Hicks stays involved with many SCH stakeholders and tries to give others the guidance and opportunities he has been privileged to obtain as a Servant Leader.

Luz Magaña is currently the Project Assistant for Grants and Strategic Initiatives at Calumet College of St. Joseph. She assumed the position in 2021 and is primarily responsible for creating strategic initiatives in compliance with CCSJ's accreditation as a Hispanic Serving Institution, in compliance with its $5 million STEM grant.

Prior to joining the CCSJ family, Luz initially interned at the United States Hispanic Leadership Institute (USHLI), which was followed by an offer of employment as an Administrative Assistant, responsible for assisting staff in their field operations duties, leadership development, and helping organize and conduct the USHLI national conference, attended annually by 6,000 present and future leaders representing 40 states. 

Later, Luz served as Finance & Scholarship Coordinator at USHLI. In this capacity, Luz helped families and students in preparing for college. In addition, Luz represented USHLI on panels addressing the educational & financial needs of first-generation students.

Luz received her Associate Degree in Accounting (Magna Cum Laude) from Ivy Tech Community College, and is currently enrolled in the Business program at CCSJ. She is planning to graduate in 2023.

She enjoys traveling, exercising, nature, and speaking to groups and audiences in her native language, Spanish.
