Scholarship Awards Ceremony

The Hammond Hispanic Community Committee (HHCC) hosted their 1 st Annual Scholarship Award Dinner Ceremony on Friday, April 21, 2017, from 6:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. at St. James Hall in Highland, IN. The dinner honored winners of the first annual scholarship awards. Four scholarships were awarded to students who attended a high school in Hammond, IN and will be attending a college/university or a trade school.

 

HHCC Congratulates the first scholarship winners.

1st Place        Liliana Mendez from Bishop Noll attending St. Mary's College of Notre Dame, South Bend, IN.                                                          

2nd Place       Sophia Martin from Gavit High School attending Purdue University, West Lafayette, IN. 

3rd Place        Carlos Zendeja   from Hammond High School attending Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology,  Terre Haute, IN. 

4th Place        Angela Rivera from Morton High School attending  Indiana University, Bloomington, IN.

The Hammond Hispanic Community Committee is a diverse organization that comes
together to enhance the quality of life for Hispanics and improve the larger community by providing information and sharing the diverse cultures we represent, undertaking projects that address community needs, and teaching the concept of harmony amongst all races.

Founded on March 10, 1993

The Hammond Hispanic Community Committee was formed in Hammond, Indiana, and is a non-profit, 501(c)3, organization.
