Hammond Hispanic Community Committee

Requirements:

Fully completed application.
Must be of Latino/Hispanic heritage
Resume of education, school and community activities and work experience
Must be graduating from a Hammond High School in 2022: Clark,Hammond High, Gavit, Morton, Bishop Noll, HAST or ACC
Must have a 3.0 GPA if planning to attend a college or university OR a 2.5 GPA if planning to attend a trade or technical school
Response to the essay question, typed, double-spaced and no longer than two pages. The essay question is: Discuss the issue of race or ethnic heritage in the U.S. How has it impacted you? What do you think can be done to improve it? (Note: If applying for the CNA scholarship, please relate your responses to the healthcare field.)
Submission of an original, sealed Official Transcript and ACA and/or SAT scores and evidence of passing the ECA
Submission of a copy (or copies) of your college/university or technical/trade school acceptance letter
Submission of two letters of recommendation from a non-family member – a principal, teacher, guidance counselor, employer, community member or other mentor
Submission of all extracurricular activities and awards
